  • What materials do you use? 3D printing uses spools of filament that are melted and formed then solidify when cooled. There are so many types of filament and more getting added every day. There is even an option now to combine colors of filament to create unique color combinations. Typical filament we use are as follows: 

    • PLA (Polylactic Acid) — Easy to print, biodegradable, but heat‑sensitive.
    • PLA Silk - This is a special variant of standard PLA filament that’s blended with additives to create a glossy, satin‑like, metallic surface finish. The key difference is appearance and behavior — it looks stunning but is mechanically weaker than regular PLA.
    • PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) — Strong, durable, and easier to print than ABS; good mechanical properties.
    • ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) — Impact‑resistant but prone to warping; needs a very hot enclosure to print.
    • TPU/TPE (Flexible Filaments) — Rubber‑like flexibility; harder to print, tends to string over time.

  • Are your prints durable? We use high‑quality thermoplastic materials such as PLA and PETG to create durable, lightweight, and vibrant products. These materials are safe, strong, and perfect for everyday items like luggage tags, keychains, and fidgets. Some specialty items may use flexible TPU or decorative composite filaments like silk, wood‑fill or metal‑fill. Every item is printed with the best filament type, cleaned, and finished by hand to ensure the best and safest quality.

  • Are your items handmade?  YES most definitely, most items are designed by us, printed by us and shipped to you by us

  • Do you offer custom designs? We do try to accommodate special requests if we can complete in a timely manner as we all know sometimes life gets in the way. 

🚚 Shipping & Processing

  • How long does it take to make my order? Many of our current prints take between 1 hour to a couple of hours. We have several printers we can utilize at all times and set up is a breeze as we stock most filament colors and types. We try to keep items in stock so it is just a matter of packaging and mailing. 

  • When will my order ship? (Processing window + shipping carrier.)

  • Do you offer rush orders? If your item is in stock then most definitely we can rush, but typically you should never need to pay extra for rushing. We completed an order last week of 25 items in two days.

  • Do you ship internationally? We currently don't ship international but we may in the future.

🎹 Customization & Personalization

  • Can I request a custom color or size? Most definitely as long as you don't need it rushed.

  • Can you add names, initials, or logos? On some items - yes we can personalize.

  • Can you print my business logo? Sometimes yes if it is a simple design and has only a couple of colors.

🔧 Care & Maintenance

  • How do I clean my 3D‑printed item? Hand‑wash only, no dishwasher, gentle soap.

  • Is it heat‑safe? PLA softens around 60°C (131–140°F) ; PETG around 80°C (176°F) .

  • Can I leave it in my car? 3D‑printed items can warp if left in a hot car. Plastics soften at high temperatures, and car interiors often exceed the safe limit. Thin parts bend, twist or sag, keychains distort at attachment points. It doesn't melt into a puddle - it just relaxes, losing the shape it had when it was printed.

  • Do you offer bulk pricing? (Great for events, businesses, schools.)

  • Can you create custom sets or bundles? (Luggage tags, fidgets, keychains, etc.)

  • Do you work with event planners or corporate gifting? (Yes — outline options.)

Since you asked about NFC inserts earlier, include this:

  • What is an NFC insert? A tiny chip inside the tag that stores digital info like contact details, links, or business cards.

  • What can I program into my NFC tag? Contact info, website, social media, emergency info, pet details. It is NOT  a location chip - you can not use to find an item. Only identify something when it's found. 

  • Do I need an app to use it? Most phones read NFC automatically; programming apps to set it up are free.

  • Is the chip waterproof? No - most NFC Chips are water-resistant and most filament is not waterproof and absorb moisture over time. 

🔒 Safety & Quality

  • Are your products safe for kids? Some items do have a WARNING: Choking Hazard — Small Parts. Not for children under 3 years old. Use your best judgement.

  • Do you test your prints? Absolutely - Every Fun X 3D Printing item is made with high‑quality materials, precise settings, and careful finishing. We inspect each piece for strength, detail, and consistency to ensure you receive a product that looks great, feels solid, and lasts with proper care.

Fun X 3D Printing items are handmade, custom‑produced, and printed to order. Because each piece is created specifically for the customer, returns are limited — but we always make sure you’re taken care of.

Orders may be canceled within 12 hours of purchase. After printing begins, cancellations are no longer possible.
